Equine patients The Cambridge Equine Clinic aims to provide a comprehensive, mobile general practitioner service within an approximately thirty mile radius of the University of Cambridge Veterinary School.

Equine clinicServices will include:

  • 24-hour emergency call out.
  • Daily consultations by appointment.
  • Routine healthcare, including vaccination, annual health checks, worming, passports and microchipping.
  • Geriatric medicine.
  • Dental care, from prophylactic checks to motorised rasping.
  • Pre-purchase examination.
  • Castration.
  • Lameness evaluation.
  • Reproductive care, pre-breeding examination, artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis and foal health checks.
  • Group/yard visits accommodated.
  • Attendance at events, shows or pony club can be arranged.

Equine cliniciansMost cases can initially be seen at the owners' premises. Any cases requiring further diagnostic evaluation or in-depth treatment can be brought into the Queen's Veterinary School Hospital and if necessary referred to a specialist clinician.
