Research description
I am interested in the pathophysiology of cartilage disease and cartilage repair. Work in my laboratory has used an equine single impact load model of cartilage damage to identify an intrinsic repair response and research is ongoing into the manipulation of this response. This manipulation involves growth factor modulation of the response. In addition I have developed a rat single impact load model of cartilage damage and I am currently evaluating this model.
