Studying at Cambridge

Welcome

The Department of Veterinary Medicine at Cambridge is at the forefront of veterinary science and education and is a centre of excellence for teaching and research.

We produce clinicians, researchers and practitioners of the very highest calibre. Our graduates go on to follow diverse career paths, with many becoming successful practitioners and academic veterinarians, but with many also going on to become leading biomedical researchers. Many prestigious posts in the various branches of the veterinary profession are occupied by Cambridge graduates.

We also run the Queen's Veterinary Hospital, offering the best professional care as a teaching and a referral hospital.

Access to our site has changed

There is now no direct access from JJ Thompson Avenue. Access is now from Charles Babbage Road.

We are carrying out an important research project into the development of the nostrils in brachycephalic (short-faced) dog breeds. The breeds that we are looking at in this study are French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs and Pugs.
If you are a new owner of one of these breeds and would like to help us by taking part in this study, please take a look at the following page by clicking on the title link.
