The Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Cambridge will host VetEd 2027, the annual Veterinary Education Symposium organised in partnership with the Veterinary Schools Council (VSC).
VetEd is firmly established as one of the leading conferences for veterinary education, bringing together educators, clinicians, researchers and professional services colleagues involved in teaching and supporting veterinary learners. The symposium provides an opportunity to share educational scholarship, explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning, and strengthen connections across the veterinary education community.
The announcement was made at VetEd 2026, hosted by Harper & Keele Veterinary School, where delegates from across the UK and internationally came together for three days of presentations, workshops, networking and discussion.
Building on the symposium's longstanding principles of community, collaboration and scholarship, Cambridge aims to deliver an engaging and welcoming event that showcases excellence and innovation in veterinary education while taking advantage of the University's unique academic environment.
Hannah Wong, Associate Teaching Professor in Veterinary Education and Pathology, who is leading preparations for the event alongside colleagues from the Department, said:
“VetEd 2026 at Harper & Keele Veterinary School has been a fantastic mix of scholarship, community and fun. It has given me lots of inspiration and I’m really looking forward to Cambridge Vet School hosting VetEd 2027.”
Preparations for the next symposium are now underway, planned for the 5-7th July 2027, with more details on themes, keynote speakers to be announced in the coming months.
The Department looks forward to welcoming delegates from across the veterinary education sector to Cambridge for what promises to be another memorable and inspiring VetEd symposium.
