Department of Veterinary Medicine

Cambridge Veterinary School

We are incredibly proud of our Cambridge veterinary graduates and the vital role they play across the profession  -  who go on to work in countless roles within the profession, from working in first opinion practice to specialist expertise and government and public health roles.

We are currently undertaking a comprehensive review of our Veterinary Medicine curriculum to ensure it reflects the realities, challenges, and opportunities of modern practice.

To support this work, we are inviting veterinary professionals and employers from across the sector to share their insights through a short survey. Whether you are working in clinical practice, industry, academia, or public health - and regardless of where you graduated  - your experience is invaluable.

The survey explores key areas including clinical preparedness, professional and communication skills, workplace readiness, and emerging priorities within the profession. Your feedback will directly inform how we shape and strengthen our curriculum, helping us to ensure our graduates are not only clinically capable, but confident and adaptable in a rapidly changing profession.  We thank you for your insight.

Complete the anonymous survey here:

In addition to the survey, we are also seeking veterinary professionals and alumni who would be willing to take part in focus groups. These sessions will provide an opportunity to explore key themes in more depth and contribute further to the development of the Cambridge course.

By taking part  - whether through the survey, a focus group, or both  - you will play a direct role in shaping the future of veterinary education at Cambridge and supporting the next generation of vets.

Focus Groups:

In person: 11 May at 2pm -  Focus Group held in person at the Vet School - Madingley Road, Cambridge CB3 0ES - Refreshments provided and free parking on site.
