Fellowships
Opportunities for support are available for scientists at all levels who are working on research projects relevant to the biomedical sciences. We also support low- and middle-income country scientists working in public health or tropical medicine. Research projects can be based in the laboratory, the clinic or the field and may involve experimental or theoretical approaches. Where appropriate, applications are encouraged from candidates trained in disciplines outside the biomedical sciences who are applying their expertise to biomedical problems.

Fellowships
An MRC award enables you to do something out of the ordinary. Fellowships are personal awards made to talented researchers at key points in their careers. With an MRC fellowship you have your own funding for a challenging research project and an ambitious programme of research training and personal development. We offer a range of MRC fellowships to meet diverse needs, check out our Eligibility Checker. The range of fellowship award schemes covers both clinical and non-clinical researchers, with opportunities in quantitative and qualitive research methodologies provided by the Strategic Skills Fellowship Schemes.
Interested in partnering with industry during your fellowship? See the range of new opportunities we offer. An archive of closed Fellowships is provided for reference purposes. For more information about the MRC fellowship schemes click on the links to the pages below.
