Jackie Brearley - describes her personal experience of professional burnout

For vet Jackie Brearley, burnout appeared out of the blue. As she emerges into a new period of her life, she describes what got her through and reflects on how she has come to regard it as a positive experience.

We are carrying out an important research project into the development of the nostrils in brachycephalic (short-faced) dog breeds. The breeds that we are looking at in this study are French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs and Pugs.
