Biography

I have previously completed a BSc Biology (2019) and a MRes - Advanced Biological Sciences (2020) at the University of Southampton. During my studies I investigated the autophagic control of sexual dimorphism in bone mineralisation. I am currently conducting a PhD project, under the supervision of Dr Kate Hughes, in which I am investigating myoepithelial and immune cell dynamics in the mammary gland during postnatal development.

Research

I am interested in many aspects of cell and developmental biology. My current research, funded by the Anatomical Society, aims to investigate the proliferation dynamics, cellular relationships and the role of mammary myoepithelial cells in postnatal mammary development. To do this, I am studying non-traditional model species such as sheep and rabbits.
