Department of Veterinary Medicine
Throughout my Biological Sciences BSc at Imperial College London I developed a keen interest in genomics, and how it can be used to deepen our understanding of evolution. I gained a particular fascination with transmissible cancers due to the unique insights they can offer into cancer evolution. I am now conducting my PhD with the Transmissible Cancer Group looking into the genomic consequences of long-term somatic evolution, in particular the amplification of repeat arrays and selfish elements. |
