Biography

I am currently a Ph.D. student in Biological Sciences supervised by Dr Mathew Allen and Dr Alasdair Russell. I completed both my B.Sc. in Biological Engineering and M.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering at Cornell University. Prior to my Ph.D., I gained academic and industry-based research experience in veterinary orthopaedics, sports medicine, field research, and plant science. I also worked in various clinical settings for several years as a veterinary surgical assistant. My specific research interests concern musculoskeletal diseases and regenerative medicine, and my thesis, sponsored by Ortho Bio Therapeutics, seeks to test a new gene therapy to be used for treating Osteoarthritis in dogs.
