Biography

Graduated as Veterinary Surgeon in 2006 at University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland. Following studies, moved to United Kingdom, and worked as Official Veterinarian directly and indirectly for Meat Hygiene Service and Food Standards Agency, applying official controls on animal health, public health, and food safety in diverse aspects of food production in UK. Over 11 years of experience as Veterinary Inspector for Animal and Plant Health Agency helping to control notifiable diseases, in addition to addressing disease risks in animal by-products, artificial breeding and international trade. I have also been involved in improving the welfare and wellbeing of animals on farms, in transit and at markets. Deep interest in field epidemiology work during notifiable disease investigations led me into project on Seneca Valley Virus epidemiology.
