Biography:

DVM (Zaragoza, Spain 2008), Master in Pig Production (2009), MSc in Animal nutrition (2013), EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Porcine Health Management (2018).

Juan has a strong background in pig production; he has work as farmer before graduating, pig veterinarian, pig specialized consultor and researcher. As researcher, the main topics he has addressed are pig nutrition, diseases diagnostics and antimicrobial resistances characterization, especially in respiratory pathogens and Streptococcus suis.

My research interest are pig diseases (epidemiology and diagnostics) as well as holistic approaches for digestive and respiratory disease complex control interventions.
