The Department of Veterinary Medicine has a long-established reputation for fundamental, translational and clinical research into the diseases of the nervous system. Currently, research activities within this theme are predominantly centered around

1) the physiology and regenerative biology of CNS stem cells, with a particular emphasis on myelination and remyelination, and

2) prion diseases.
