Biography

Fahad is a Research Assistant and PhD student based at the Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Cambridge. He is currently leading a project developing a molecular diagnostic assay for the rapid detection of enteric pathogens such as Vibrio cholerae and Salmonella Typhi, as well as antibiotic resistance genes, from clinical and environmental samples. Fahad has been an instructor on both laboratory-based and online training courses in the UK and abroad. He is working on both the laboratory and bioinformatics sides, with particular interest in Oxford Nanopore sequencing and data analysis.
